Overview
Education and Training of employees is critical to the successful development and operation of a compliance program. CCI believes that education should begin at the onset of every compliance engagement.
Initial “kickoff” meetings are designed to educate staff and other affected parties as to the importance of compliance and their respective roles in relation thereto. Over the course of a compliance engagement, CCI reviews records, evaluates procedures and conducts interviews for compliance with governmental regulations. During this process, CCI discusses findings with appropriate individuals in order to explain areas where exposures may exist.
This education process becomes an invaluable training tool, as it gives employees insight as to what issues various governmental agencies are focusing on.
CCI’s on-site departmental training sessions address the unique aspects associated with specific department operations as they relate to current compliance issues.
CCI’s Departmental-Specific and focused compliance training is conducted both on-site and through interactive training videos. We offer specialized training for Business Office, Registration and HIM departments. These training presentations assist client staff in the understanding of compliance procedures and regulatory issues that are unique to these departments and ensure the ongoing viability of annual compliance training.
CCI also conducts Medical Staff Training Sessions for which some facilities have obtained CME Credits. Board presentations are designed to illustrate to their respective members the fiduciary responsibilities they have with respect to compliance.
